Our Instructors

Jodi Walters

Founder - Level 1 Fascial Stretch Practitioner, Pilates Full Certification, TRX, Total Barre, Group Fitness Instructor

Founder - Level 3 Fascial Stretch Practitioner / Certified Pilates Instructor / Group Fitness Instructor

Fitness has always been an integral part of Jodi’s life. Initially running was her only fitness regime and she completed many races along the way, including the Chicago Marathon twice, Memphis Marathons, Nashville Half, 10K and countless 5K races in various states.

In searching for ways to improve running and lessen the risk of injury, Jodi became interested in pilates. Realizing how the Joseph Pilates method of exercise benefits the mind and body, she began her journey to become an instructor. With several methods of pilates to choose from, the clear choice was a career in Stott® Pilates, a world class leader in the pilates industry . She completed her training and obtained full certification in the areas of Mat, Reformer,  Cadillac, Chair and Barrels at the United States first Stott® Pilates training center, Equilibrium Pilates Studio in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and their satellite training studio, The Movement Center and Gyrotonics in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Understanding the importance that fascia plays in the body and the amazing benefits of fascial stretch therapy for all types of bodies, Jodi completed Levels 1-3 Fascial Stretch Therapy certification at the Gold standard for assisted stretch training in the industry, the Stretch to Win Institute in Arizona with a focus in sport specific fascial stretch therapy. She has also completed TRX® Group Suspension Training and enjoys training clients with the suspension trainer. The intensity of suspension based training, as well as the ability to incorporate the principals of pilates into a TRX® workout, is a great addition to anyone’s exercise repertoire. Jodi also fell in love with barre fitness and is certified in Total Barre. She feels barre fitness is also a wonderful training tool to have as it taps into different muscle groups and is a fun, yet challenging workout.

The mother of three busy daughters, Jodi spent the several years coaching cheerleading, as volunteer Chairperson for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo’s Annual Golf Outing, volunteer Chair on the board of Equipped Kids and served as worship leader and small group leader for youth at Fallen Timbers Community Church, as well as a volunteer for the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio.

Looking to bring pilates on a personalized level to the area, Jodi opened Driven Fitness Studio in February, 2013, where small, intimate classes focus on the client’s individual goals in a bright and motivating setting. Driven Fitness has since expanded while stile maintaining an intimate class feel in a roomier setting. Whether it’s athletic conditioning, general toning, injury prevention or injury rehabilitation, Jodi continues to love sharing how pilates, fascial stretch therapy and cross training in various exercise modalities can benefit all ages and all abilities.

Courtney Wolfe

Yoga Instructor

Courtney Wolfe, RYT200 and Buti Yoga instructor, has been leading yoga throughout the Toledo area for the past 4 years. An ultramarathon runner, Courtney initially sought yoga to prevent and combat physical injury. She soon found the practice, however, to also be a means through which she could better connect with and learn about herself, build greater strength and stability in order to become a healthier, stronger and better rounded athlete while developing a strong mental focus required for tough challenges and the stressors of everyday life.

An extremely compassionate and empathetic leader, Courtney seeks to help her students learn that it is OK - and actually necessary - to slow down, develop focus and mental tenacity as well as liberate themselves from insecurities, self-judgement and the battles of a busy mind. To Courtney, who grew up a dancer, movement is a freedom and joy to be celebrated. Her classes will challenge and transform your body, liberate your mind and allow you to tap into your true potential, both on, and off, the mat.

Samantha baltz

Certified Pilates Instructor

Group Fitness Instructor

Personal Trainer

Samantha Baltz has been working in the fitness industry for 6 years, teaching and training clients in New York and Ohio. As a former professional dancer in NY, exercise outside of performing became necessary to maintain the integrity of her muscles and joints, and quickly turned into a newfound love. Later, becoming a fitness professional was the next step in her career.

Throughout those years, she obtained a Barre certification (Xtend Barre), Personal Trainer Certification (ACE), and a Pre/Postnatal Certification (Annette Lang) in which she taught Group Exercise classes and trained clients privately throughout NYC. When she made the move back to Ohio, she continued to teach Group Exercise classes and recently completed her Pilates Mat and Reformer Certification through the Pilates Instructor Academy. Samantha is also a Board-Certified Physical Therapist Assistant where she works with patients in acute rehab and skilled nursing facilities.

Fitness has always played a big role in her life, and she finds value in being able to stay physically active. She loves sharing her knowledge with people and helping them find their strength, mobility, and confidence with movement, in and out of the studio!
